Racing two rounds back-to-back halfway through the EnduroCross season is a true test of endurance, and this weekend in Idaho Falls was no exception. The Mountain America Center, with its intense fumes and potential for carbon monoxide buildup, added an extra layer of difficulty, especially when I came into the weekend already feeling under the weather. Right from practice, I knew I’d have to dig deep and make the most of what I had.

Night One: Round 3.

I gave it everything, but it just wasn’t enough to crack into the top spots. With moto scores of 8-10-8, I ended up 9th overall. A few race decisions didn’t pan out as planned, and I didn’t have the juice to make up for it. But hey, sometimes it's about managing, pushing ahead and learning for the next round.

Night Two: Round 4.

On night two, I was determined to turn things around and was riding well. I started off strong with a hot lap that boosted my confidence, and my riding felt sharper in the first moto. By moto two, I had built momentum and was moving up the ranks. I made a mistake in the matrix when I front cased the triple out, jamming my wrist. The blast to the wrist made the already unforgiving track even tougher, and I had to dig deep just to finish out the night. I wrapped up with scores of 7-11-12, coming in 10th overall for Round 4.

Lessons Learned - This weekend was a reminder that endurance in this sport goes beyond just physical stamina—it’s mental, emotional, and technical. I learned the importance of staying positive and focused, even when things aren’t going my way. Trusting my skills, keeping a clear head, and believing in my ability to adapt are all crucial in this high-intensity environment.

Most importantly, I kept it fun. At the end of the day, racing is what I love, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to perform for an enthusiastic crowd. This sport is brutal, and while my best wasn’t enough this weekend, I know I’ll come back stronger. I’ve got a weekend off to recover, heal up, and get ready to throw down in Redmond, Oregon.

Let’s go finish this season strong!
